There will be a pre-workshop session on Saturday, April 14th for people who are not familiar with R. We strongly recommend that you attend if you have never used R before, or would like a refresher in the basic functions.
Venue: B-125 Wells Hall
Time: 1:30pm – 4:30pm
**PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF TIME**
Registrants will be contacted in March with an opportunity to enroll in the pre-workshop.
The pre-workshop will include a presentation on the following topics:
- Basic working with R and R-studio.
- Opening and manipulating data files.
- Basic data analysis commands (using the “tidyverse” packages).
- Conducting basic statistical tests in R will be discussed very briefly, if there is time. However, this pre-workshop is not the appropriate venue to learn about statistics, in general.
If you are planning to attend the pre-workshop, then please make sure to download R and R-studio from the following links:
[Note: Strictly speaking, you don’t need R-Studio to work with R, but it makes life much easier.]
